A day at the beach

Do not be deceived by these calm and warm looking pictures, this day was ferociously windy!!! I also made the mistake of turning up to the shoot in just shorts. The wind was particularly annoying because we had to shoot in dresses - Marilyn moment!
But it meant there were hardly any people around and the sand was beautifully flat.

However we got it done super fast and then talked over coffee for longer than we shot :P Probably also because it was the barista's first day and ermagerd she took forever. And just because I'm sure everyone is eager to know, I had a slice of carrot cake and Joanne had the cheesecake. yum yum yum

I think that's my most favourite thing about photography, it allows me to meet some truly amazing people and share the most absurd and intimate stories you normally wouldn't tell a stranger. As a photographer you have to build a connection with those you work with and it's something I'll have to keep developing, but sometimes it's easy when you meet lovely ladies such as Joanne :) Thank you so much again!

I think i should take more random behind the scenes shots?

Summer Breeze

A while back I was lucky enough to shoot for the Tdesign lookbook and then I got the opportunity to shoot my favourite pieces of theirs as an editorial. It's no surprise that the jewellery has a fun and funky beach feel to them as that's where the designer, Tania, grew up!

I wanted to keep the shoot fun and free but also very bright to match the jewellery. The weather that day was terrible though - absolutely freezing! but we shot until the sun set :)

There's a wide range of jewellery and a new collection coming out soon so check her facebook page and like like like!

off shore

Editorial type shoot with the very beautiful and lovely Nikita Brown - such a beautiful girl, great heart and fantastic model. So lucky to have shot with her, despite the horrible cold windy weather we (more she) has to suffer through!. Also collaborated with Tdesign and got to shoot ger jewellery! I'll show the rest of that shoot and extras soon :) uni is keeping me busy at the moment and i'm not sleeping enough.

Wicked with Chanra

Started working on this blogpost around midnight and I'm pretty happy with it. Bringing in some of my graphic design skills here a bit :) Chandra is such a beautiful model and this was one of her first few shoots. The shoot was so much fun, it's so nice when you click and become friends with who you work with. I'd also like to add shooting in the bushes is not enjoyable for model or photographer, at all. I had so many tiny spiders on me, and I have to admit I freaked out a little. Oh well! All adds to the photos haha

Have a couple things lining up, like a jewellery shoot this Sunday woo!! So excited. So keep stalking this space, love you guys :3

more with courtney

These were my favourites with Courtney. It's interesting seeing what regular people respond to and what photographers prefer. I've also been trying to pin point my style and I guess it's quite "pretty" and very light. I definitely want to push my photographs further and create more story or push a certain idea across. There will also be future shoot with Courtney :3 excited!

water godess

Some very pretty photos I took with Courtney, a first time model. I bought some cheap string of flowers at one of those random stores I really wanted to use and thrifted the material for $3 from vinnies score!! We went to explore Paramatta park and I was drawn to the beautiful light reflecting off the stream (dam? river? i have no idea) We were close to falling in but it all worked out in the end :D Also can't forget the bird attacks we survived haha! So many cockatoos...

It was a lovely day, filled with lovely photos and people. Would also like to thank Charlene for doing the make up and chilling on the picnic blanket for 2hrs observing us from afar. Must have been sooo boring.

More photos from this shoot soon.
